Kim Smith and Jeff Ouellet presented on the topic of “Unemployment Compensation Best Practices” as part of a series of presentations being sponsored by the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13. The audience included school districts, both public and private, as well as some private employers. The seminar addressed practical solutions for employers given increasing numbers of unemployment compensation claims, as well as the anticipated impact of recent changes to the law. Mrs. Smith and Mr. Ouellet will also be presenting for the IU13 on “Best Hiring Practices” on January 20, 2012, and “Avoiding Discrimination and Harassment Claims” on April 19, 2012.
Mrs. Smith and Mr. Ouellet are both partners who are members of the firm’s Employment Law practice group. Mrs. Smith is also Chair of the firm’s School Law department.
